The Counterrevolutionary and Royal Army of America (CRAA) is a spiritual expression grounded in devotion to the French royal hearts of Ste. Jehanne d’Arc and Ste. Thérèse de Lisieux. Through their intercession, the CRAA has the potential to bring the Kingdom of God “on earth as it is in Heaven.” My inspiration was the 18th century Armée Catholique et Royale of the Vendée during the French Revolution. The French Catholic and Royal Army defended their Catholic Church and their King and Queen against the blasphemous revolution. My hope is that by gathering in prayer and good works, we will destroy the spirit of the same blasphemous revolutionary culture we find ourselves in today. Our goal is the renaissance of Catholic and Royal France - the Eldest Daughter of the Church - and Christendom as a whole, along with the edifying Catholic culture flowing from it.
We support the French Catholic colonial spirit of converting America as an extension of ancient Christendom in the New World and as a Catholic Monarchy joining the family of Catholic Monarchies in Europe.
One of the most profound tragedies of our modern era, with its secular dogma of moral and religious relativism, is that one may no longer defend a belief, much less a religion. Suppose no one can know the truth, as proposed in the secular dogma. In that case, no one religion could claim to have the truth. Defending one’s belief in the public square and through cultural debates is akin to naively and arrogantly “forcing one’s personal beliefs” on others. To virtually everyone walking down the street, including, sadly, the vast majority of Catholics in America, the propositions above are sacrosanct and beyond repudiation. Secular dogma forcing the religiously minded to accept its way is, after all, what “freedom” is all about, I suppose?
What inevitably needs to be understood in the dialogue is that culture reflects the belief systems of a society. There may be a “separation of Church and State” (whatever that means), but there cannot be a “separation of Church and Culture.” How one believes shapes how one acts and views the world. How individuals, with those actions and worldviews, associate with one another shapes a society’s culture in the public realm. The reason ancient Christendom’s culture reflected God was that the people of ancient Christendom believed in God. The reason modern culture reflects the vulgarity and blasphemy of secularism is that the people of contemporary culture believe in vulgarity and blasphemy. To tell the religiously minded that they should stay out of public view reflects the dominance of a secular, atheistic worldview that is antagonistic to religion. It is not a “neutral” society, nor is it a “free” society. It is one worldview dominating another, as is always the case. There is no escaping it.
Thus, to be told to “keep one’s religious views to oneself” in the public discussion is to be told that anti-religion is the dogmatic facilitator for public debate. To be a religious person and to agree with that is to surrender the battle and even to surrender one’s faith.
The Catholic Church built Western Civilization. The glories, grandeur, intellectual development, sciences, philosophies, art, and architecture of the West were grounded in a Catholic worldview. Western Civilization is a Catholic civilization. To agree to “keep one’s religion to oneself” and to “keep religion out of the public debate” is to surrender the entire Western Civilization to the non-divine dogma of secularism. In other words, it is the end of Civilization as we know it.
The Counterrevolutionary and Royal Army of America (CRAA) is a call for an organized political, social, and cultural resistance to the unlawful and blasphemous occupation of our land and Western Civilization in general by the impious and vulgar secular atheists. It is a call for a counterrevolution to upend and overturn the primordial Revolution against man and the Kingdom of God that is no more than spiritual anarchy and a new Dark Age. The CRAA is inspired by the Armée Catholique et Royale of the Bocage Vendée region of France during the French Revolution. The French Catholic and Royal Army fought valiantly against the atheistic French Revolution. They fought for their faith, their Church, and their Monarchy.
I conceived and designed the CRAA to both propagate and defend Le Royaume, the Mystical Kingdom of France, which is nothing less than a manifestation of the Kingdom of God. Le Royaume celebrates the mystical relationship between the Kingdom of Heaven and the Kingdom of France. Mysteriously, this mystical heavenly Kingdom not only shimmers and gleams through France but through the culture and life of all of Western Civilization, including The United States of America. There, we understand the deep spiritual connection between the Kingdom of France and America and the great need for the mystical Kingdom of France to destroy heresies and restore in our dying Civilization Catholic preeminence in religion, spirituality, culture, and politics.
Welcome to the Counterrevolution. "As for the Church, I love her and would wish to sustain her with all my power for our Christian faith... And I am of the opinion that it is all one and the same thing, God and the Church, and that of that one should make no difficulty. Why do you make difficulty over that?" - St. Joan of Arc, at her trial of condemnation.
