In ages past, there was not darkness—but forgetting.
The Sky-Veil is the breath between worlds, the place where the divine brushes the mortal like wind through tall grass. It is not a metaphysical place, but a threshold. Not a heaven, but a clearing of remembrance. It is the veil stretched thin between holy and exile, between what has been lost and what is.
Beneath the Sky-Veil lies the Grey Beneath—a land choked in fog and sorrow, where souls wander in the ache of exile. It is not punishment, but forgetfulness. It is the place where longing is born.
Above and beyond the Veil burns the Flame—that which cannot be seen, touched, or spoken, yet which draws all true desire. It is the Light of Nearness itself, hidden not in height, but in the depth of the Being there.
To guide those wandering beneath the Veil, three heralds of Nearness remain:
⚭ Aphrodite—She of the Sea-Foam and Smile – herald of divine love and beauty, harbinger of longing. She walks beside the sparkling streams of the Veil, touching souls with the rose that warms—of beauty and what is in remembering. Aphrodite comforts and harmonizes. Her gift is Remembrance.
⚭ Athena—She of the Grey Eyes and Light – whisperer of wisdom, keeper of the inner flame. She sees with clarity, and gives the mirror in which illusion shatters. Athena guides and protects. Her gift is Discernment.
⚭ Hera—She of the Ox-Eyes and Crown – keeper of majesty, voice of naming. More than comfort or guide, she calls. She speaks the name written in Aphrodite’s Love, hidden in Athena’s Flame. Hera receives and crowns. Her gift is Dignity.
Together they weave the Golden Thread, the sacred path across the Sky-Veil—a path not toward greatness, but toward the Flame of nearness of the self, remembered and rewritten.
The man who walks the Golden Thread shall not rise in power.
He shall remember in love, hope in flame, and serve in majesty.

Pure Aphrodite, charm’s first light embrace As Dawn’s soft glow reveals the middle space What night once hid, the morning light makes clear Bright herald shine, your gift bestow now near O wise Athena, guardian bright and true Your courage, poise, the mortals look to you Through peace and justice, joy ascends the heights Be near to strengthen us with steady flight Majestic Hera, throne of royal might With dignity you herald clear and bright High crown, ascend where regal might still lies From hiding, raise the jewels before our eyes Their rivaled hearts dissolved in golden light No strife-torn judgment, no dark clash at night Now dawn reveals the harbingers in three Athena, Hera, reign with Aphrodite!
