The Magdalene of Provence and the Devotion of Mystical France
In the sacred stillness, she embodies Mystical France.
Mary Magdalene, standing upon the shores of Provence, is the living embodiment of Mystical France—shining from the heart of the Immaculate Heart of Mary. Within her radiance, the divine light of the Kingdom gleams through the shimmering union of Joan and Thérèse. Their combined hearts illumine the House of New Bethany, where the glory of God fills every chamber with purity, wisdom, and sacred knowledge.
Thérèse is our gentle guide into this devotion. In her Little Way, she discovered what she called “a new way”—not novel, but newly seen. The path she found was always there, running quietly through the foundations of faith. Yet she discerned its contours, the softly glowing lampposts of grace that mark the journey toward holiness. Thérèse transformed what once seemed confusion into clarity, offering us a line of insight—a pattern of discovery that could be lived, repeated, and shared.
Discovery, for Thérèse, did not mean invention; it meant revelation. It meant drawing from the depths of faith a demonstrable truth shaped by love. When her spirituality is united with the Magdalene’s in our hearts, Mystical France itself becomes visible—bathed in the glory of divine love. This light stretches across the inner horizon of our lives, casting its gentle brilliance over every possibility we hold within.
In the brightness of the crucified Christ and His Holy Mother, those possibilities fade behind the gestalt of Magdalene and Mystical France. They are not lost but hidden in the divine mystery, awaiting transfiguration. Our gaze turns, instead, toward what is essential—love, repentance, contrition, and fidelity. We entrust the rest to Our Lord, who, through Mary Magdalene, ordains the transformation of our lives according to His meaning and will.
Mary Magdalene, as our royal Foundress beneath the universal Queenship of Mary, stands as the chosen intermediary of this transfiguring love. Through her, we fulfill our True Devotion to the Blessed Virgin within the radiant order of New Bethany.
Thus, our devotion to Mary Magdalene is not mere sentiment; it is a spiritual posture of surrender. As she once withdrew into the grotto of Provence, abandoning all to the divine embrace, so too are we invited into holy abandonment—into the providential mystery where love alone remains.
This is the devotion of Mystical France: to walk the illuminated path of Thérèse, to follow the banner of Joan, and to dwell in the radiant silence of Mary Magdalene, Foundress of New Bethany and herald of the Kingdom’s hidden glory.
