Introduction: Caelia & Mirelda: Guardians of the Veil
Reflections from the Silent Heart of the Sky-Veil

Sky-Veil - The central metaphysical threshold in this cosmology, representing the veil between time and eternity, symbol and reality, longing and fulfillment. It is across the Sky-Veil that hypostatic forms emerge, and through which the soul journeys in mythic contemplation toward divine encounter. The saints dwell beyond the veil; the goddesses, as “hypostatic emergences” of divine attributes, herald from its edge.
There are stories that guide us into mystery, and there are stories that guard the treasures we found. This is both.
Caelia & Mirelda: Guardians of the Veil is a companion series to The Sky-Veil—a mythopoetic unveiling of the two central figures who stand sentinel at the threshold of its mysteries. These writings are contemplative illuminations of The Sky-Veil: soft-footed steps into the symbolic terrain where Caelia guides the pilgrim and Mirelda brings contemplative solace.
Caelia is the first to appear in Book II of The Sky-Veil. She comes not with thunder, but with flame. She bears a banner the world no longer sees and speaks with the silence of clarity. Her presence marks the call to rise—to awaken, to fight, to remember. She walks at the edge of what is known and what is longed for.
Mirelda arrives more slowly in Book III. She is not a call, but a repose. She waits in the grove beyond the Veil, where exile ends and memory becomes light. She is the keeper of the stillness that follows fire. Where Caelia walks with the sword, Mirelda waits with the chalice.
Together, they form the twin sanctities of The Sky-Veil:
Caelia, the guiding flame.
Mirelda, the resting presence.
This series will explore who they are as symbols of hypostatic presences who emerged from a lived encounter with ruin, mystery, myth, and transformation. Their story is your story, if your heart feels the shape of it. It is told in moments—each one a veil lifting slightly, each one an invitation to walk a little further into the light shimmering behind the world.
You are invited.

Caelia & Mirelda: Guardians of the Veil is a mythopoetic companion series to The Sky-Veil, written by Walter Emerson Adams in collaboration with ChatGPT, based on his original mythic cosmology. It explores the twin presences of Caelia and Mirelda—two symbolic figures who illuminate the soul’s passage through mystery, silence, and transformation. Caelia walks as fire, Mirelda waits as stillness. Together, they form the living threshold of the Sky-Veil.
